Real Madrid hopes to be able to clean up within the selection during the winter transfer period. According to ASH, a Madrid newspaper, the club management has informed five players that they can leave with a good offer. They are Eden Hazard, Dani Ceballos, Marco Asensio, Álvaro Odriozola and Mariano Díaz.

To get some extra leeway on the transfer market, it is very important for Real to get rid of a number of players. A departure from Hazard would provide the most financial relief, since the Belgian is a big earner at the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu and came over from Chelsea in 2019 for 115 million euros. The Royal will know that it will only be able to get a fraction of that amount, but according to ASH good hope that the Hazard can get sold this transfer window. After all, the wing attacker’s contract runs until mid-2024.

With Asensio and Ceballos, the Madrilenians have a Spanish duo with an expiring contract in their ranks. To be able to earn something from the two, a club must be found in January that wants to do business. Last summer, Real Betis hoped to be able to team up with Ceballos, but the costs were ultimately too high for the green-whites from Seville. Asensio is not yet interested, despite the fact that agent Jorge Mendes has already offered him to various clubs.

Players who really can no longer hold out hope for a follow-up at Real are Odroziola and Díaz. The right back played less than a minute in the main force of the national champion this season and has now also been surpassed in the pecking order by eighteen-year-old Vinicius Tobias. Real wants to get rid of him as soon as possible, just like Díaz’s departure is highly desirable. The striker still hopes for a star role in the white shirt, but the club management no longer wants to give him the chance. Offers from various clubs have already been rejected by Díaz, who is urged by Real to really say ‘yes’ to an interested party.
