For the time being, UEFA is not making a decision about the field attacker who hit goalkeeper Marko Dmitrovic during PSV – Sevilla on Thursday. The Telegraph reports that the European Football Association gives priority to the teams that are still in the tournament, so that the people of Eindhoven have to wait until March 29 for a ruling. Despite a 2-0 victory, PSV found its Waterloo in the Europa League on Thursday.

The UEFA Disciplinary Body will meet on Saturday and the incident in the Philips Stadium will therefore be examined. However, a decision will have to be waited for a month. In the final phase of the PSV – Sevilla game, Dylano K. ran onto the field and dealt a blow to Dmitrovic. PSV faces a hefty penalty, although it must wait until March 29 for a verdict. UEFA gives priority to teams that are still in the tournament and that therefore require faster decisions.

On Monday it was announced that the examining magistrate of the court in Den Bosch has extended the pretrial detention of Dylano K. by two weeks. In addition, the stormtrooper violated an area ban, so that the mayor of Eindhoven also had the option of imposing a reporting obligation on him. The man is suspected of assault and violating this prohibition, so he faces a hefty punishment. Sevilla decided not to press charges themselves, stating that it is ‘a matter for UEFA’. PSV previously went through the dust and thinks the accident does not suit the club.

It will not be the first fine that PSV has received this season. Earlier, the people of Eindhoven were fined 10,000 euros for throwing objects at the home game against Arsenal. In addition, the club was fined 31,000 euros for setting off fireworks in the away section during FC Zurich – PSV. It was also fined 50,000 euros after the home game against Rangers for failing to guarantee the safety of Scottish fans, setting off fireworks and throwing objects on the pitch. Even after the away match at Arsenal, the club fund was not spared. Due to demolished chairs and fireworks, the people from Brabant had to pay another 40,000 euros and no fans were allowed to be present in the away section during FK Bodø/Glimt – PSV.
