PSV is still without a loss of points after six rounds in the Eredivisie. The team of trainer Peter Bosz was too strong for Go Ahead Eagles in their own Philips Stadium with a score of 3-0. Jordan Teze and Luuk de Jong were the standouts of the evening. The former delivered two ready-made crosses to the head of De Jong, who headed twice. The attack leader thus passed Klaas-Jan Huntelaar on the Eredivisie top scorers list of this century (155 to 154). In between, Guus Til also scored a goal. Leader PSV, together with AZ, is the only team that is still clear this season. Go Ahead remains in sixth place.

Walter Benítez defended PSV’s goal. The Argentinian saw Teze, André Ramalho, Olivier Boscagli and Patrick van Aanholt in front of him. Joey Veerman, Til and number 10 Ismael Saibari formed the midfield. Striker Luuk de Jong was assisted on the sides by Hirving Lozano (right) and Noa Lang (left). Armel Bella-Kotchap, who was missing last weekend due to the after-effects of a extracted wisdom tooth, sat on the couch. Isaac Babadi, Jerdy Schouten (both not fit) and Sergiño Dest (ill) were missing. On the Go Ahead side, Joris Kramer was not present due to an injury. He was replaced by Jamal Amofa. At the front, Sylla Sow, Bobby Adekanye, Willum Willumsson and Oliver Edvardsen had to try to pull off a stunt.

PSV did not play the best first half. Passes regularly did not arrive, which did not benefit the attacking game of the Eindhoven team. Nevertheless, the first serious danger of the match came from PSV. De Jong thought he could benefit from a sharp cross from Lozano, but Jeffrey de Lange made a good save. PSV started to push more and more as the first half progressed and took the lead. A sharp cross from Teze ended up with De Jong, who headed it through the ground: 1-0. Immediately from the kick-off, Go Ahead had a chance to score the equalizer. Kuipers got the ball in the box, advanced a few meters and saw his effort turned away in the short corner by Benítez. Gerrit Nauber also had an opportunity to score 1-1. However, the German headed over from a corner.

After the break, PSV appeared a lot sharper. The game was decided just four minutes after halftime. Van Aanholt gave a sharp lead and saw Til slide in from close range: 2-0. De Lange had to take action twice in the subsequent phase. First of all, Van Aanholt shot hard but straight at De Lange, a minute later the goalie tapped Lang’s effort over the crossbar. The next chance was a success. Teze once again placed the ball ready-made on the head of De Jong, who showed that heading is perhaps his greatest quality: 3-0. The 4-0 seemed like a matter of time and Til almost scored his second of the evening. However, on a pass from Lozano, he hit the crossbar hard. There was no longer any tension, which left room for frivolities. PSV slowed down in the final phase and played the game professionally.
