Ajax lost the top position of the Eredivisie on Sunday. Against angstgegner AZ, the team from Amsterdam was trumped in every way and it was sent back to the capital with a no more than deserved 2-1 defeat. Moreover, Ajax could thank Remko Pasveer that the score was not higher. With this, Alfred Schreuder’s team must give the lead to PSV, which beat Feyenoord earlier in the afternoon. Due to the victory, AZ climbs just over the latter to third place.

Louis van Gaal has Sunday evening in the talk show Humberto gave a first explanation about his selection for the coming international match. The national coach of the Dutch is eager to use ‘the last opportunity’ to meet Ajax goalkeeper Remko Pasveer and also explains why Feyenoord goalie Justin Bijlow is not among them. “I already indicated in my first press conference that we have a problem with the goalkeepers, and I say that for a reason,” Van Gaal told Humberto Tan.
