Paris Saint-Germain has offered Paul Pogba an astronomical salary to entice him into a transfer-free move to Paris. The Independent reports that that French top club has offered a weekly salary of 600,000 euros, which amounts to 31.2 million euros per year. Pogba’s contract with Manchester United has one more year left, which means he can now make a transfer-free move next summer.

Pogba’s name has long been associated with PSG. The 28-year-old midfielder would already be high on the wish list for this summer les Parisiens but the opportunity to bring in Lionel Messi has delayed his eventual arrival to Paris by a year. PSG, however, wants to strike in a year’s time and plans to offer a very hefty salary in order to trump the competition. Pogba could start earning €600,000 a week at PSG, meaning his current salary would be doubled.

Pogba is reportedly currently earning $17.6 million a year. Manchester United have recently made frantic efforts to prevent the 84-time French international from leaving again in a year on a free transfer. Juventus picked up Pogba on a free transfer from England earlier in 2012, only to sell him back four years later for €105 million. the Red Devils. Manchester United would have offered Pogba a weekly salary of 471,000 euros, but the midfielder refused to sign for the time being.

Pogba, for example, has now started his final year of contract, without any indication that he will make a transfer this summer. The Frenchman had a starting place last Saturday for Manchester United’s first league game of this season, against Leeds United. With four assists, Pogba showed himself emphatically in the second half the Red Devils 5-1 win at Old Trafford.
