Kylian Mbappé and Neymar presumably link their future to Paris Saint-Germain. The two attackers have been a topic of conversation in the corridors for months, as they are linked to a summer departure. Leonardo hints at new contracts for the pair, as it became clear on Wednesday evening during an interview by the PSG director at Sky Italia.

Mbappé and Neymar are both under contract in Paris until the summer of 2022. Behind the scenes, PSG has been working on new deals for months and it looks like white smoke is coming soon. “If we look at their contracts, I think we can be happy,” said Leonardo on Wednesday after the 2-3 win over Bayern Munich in the quarter finals of the Champions League. “We will soon get more clarity about the situation regarding the Mbappé and Neymar contracts.” Mbappé has been linked to Real Madrid for some time, while Neymar has also been linked with a transfer. Leonardo refused to comment on the rumors about the possible arrival of Gianluigi Donnarumma to Paris. “Donnarumma? I’m not talking about transfers now. Keylor Navas is great. ”

PSG took a big step towards the semi-final in Munich, partly due to two goals from Mbappé. The 22-year-old attacker further increased his impressive statistics. He was involved in 42 goals in 43 Champions League appearances: 27 goals and 15 assists. “Above all, it is a great collective performance against the best team in Europe,” Mbappé said afterwards RMC Sport. “We return to Paris with a smile, but also realize that we are only halfway through and have to play with the same attitude in the return next week.”

“As I said before in Barcelona: I love to play this kind of big game,” said Mbappé, who scored four goals in the two meetings with coach Ronald Koeman’s team in the previous round. The duel with Bayern was a repeat of last season’s Champions League final, which PSG lost 1-0. “In that match I unfortunately failed to score against Manuel Neuer”, Mbappé said. “I like to play against the best players in the world and Neuer is one of the best goalkeepers of all time. I didn’t feel any pressure to play against him and I hope to pass him again next time.”

PSG will be back in action this Saturday. RC Strasbourg will be the opponent in Ligue 1 at 5 p.m. The French superpower has to do without the suspended Neymar. Bayern Munich will take on Union Berlin on Saturday at 3.30 pm. The return in the Champions League in Paris is scheduled for next Tuesday (9 p.m.).
