Orkun Kökçü will return to Rotterdam early, know 1908.nl. The Feyenoord midfielder did not come out of the Nations League match between Turkey and Luxembourg (3-3) unscathed on Thursday, as a result of which he had to cut off the international match early. Kökçü’s exact injury is still unknown. It is therefore still uncertain whether Feyenoord’s resumption of competition against NEC is in danger.

Kökçü was replaced on Thursday in a true spectacle against Luxembourg ten minutes before time. In his seventeenth international match for Turkey, in which ex-Eredivisie players Ferdi Kadioglu, Halil Dervisoglu and Enes Ünal were also allowed to start, he could not leave his mark. Kökçü will miss the upcoming game against the Faroe Islands anyway. In Rotterdam, further research should show what exactly is wrong with the playmaker.

It is to be hoped for trainer Arne Slot that his captain’s injury is not too bad. Kökçü is increasingly manifesting himself as leader of Feyenoord and was accurate against PSV last Sunday (4-3 loss). The counter for Kökçü in all competitions is currently at two hits and one assist this season. With his game, the born Haarlemmer played an important part in achieving the current number four ranking in the Eredvisie rankings.
