Henk Veerman was left out of the starting eleven at sc Heerenveen on Saturday evening for the away match against FC Utrecht. and finally came in fifteen minutes before the end as a substitute. Trainer Johnny Jansen said before the game in Stadion Galgenwaard that they are ‘at the moment a little less satisfied’ with the striker. The reserve role of Henk Veerman caused a surprise to Joey Veerman, while the striker himself does not know what exactly he should ‘bring extra’.
“Of course I was surprised, I’d be lying if I wasn’t. We sit together in the car and then you talk about it. He has just scored five goals in eight games. So then you wouldn’t expect to be put on the couch,” says Joey Veerman in front of the camera of ESPN. Jansen and Henk Veerman will talk to each other on Monday. “They will come out. I think Henk also dares to say something to the trainer. They have to get out of it, they don’t have a choice.”
“Henk has been ill, but we are also a little less satisfied at the moment”, Jansen explained the reserve role for Henk Veerman before the game. “I just expect more from Henk at the moment, in a general sense. Henk Veerman is confronted afterwards with the words of his trainer. “If the coach says that, we have to change that. For me it is annoying that I was sick last week and did play against Ajax. The reporter of ESPN Henk Veerman confronted the fact that he is the club’s top scorer for Heerenveen. “Yeah, so it’s really sour when the trainer takes you off it. Jansen was satisfied with Henk Veerman’s substitute, but was of the opinion that he should have made the 1-2 fifteen minutes before the end. “I would rather have done that myself.
