NS Mura caused a resounding stunt in the Conference League on Thursday evening. On Slovenian soil, the team of trainer Ante Simundza was 2-1 too strong for Tottenham Hotspur. Nevertheless, Mura, who collected three points, has already been eliminated. Also the European season of the Spurs, which, like Vitesse, have seven points, is hanging by a thread. Stade Rennes is certain of a win in Group G with twelve points. In the last game, Tottenham will play against the French, while Vitesse is waiting for a home game against Mura.

Manager Antonio Conte changed his formation in several positions compared to the Premier League game that was won against Leeds United (2-1). For example, goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini got a basic place at the expense of Hugo Lloris and Eric Dier, Sergio Reguilon, Pierre-Emile Höjbjerg and Son Heung-min started on the bench. The decision of the Italian elector turned out badly, because after eleven minutes Mura took the lead. Tomi Horvat cut in after a custom pass from Zan Karnicnik. The right winger rounded Japhet Tanganga, after which he placed the ball nicely in the corner: 1-0. After more than half an hour of play, the scenario became even blacker for Tottenham.

After occasional left back Ryan Sessegnon ran into a yellow card after fifteen minutes of play, he also took his second yellow card in the 32nd minute due to dangerous play. Before halftime Tottenham put up a poor game of football, and they failed to produce a single shot on goal. So, halfway through the second act, Conte decided to bring in the usual basic forces. That seemed to have the desired effect, as the score was leveled in the 72nd minute. On a pass from substitute Lucas Moura it was Harry Kane who outwitted goalkeeper Matko Obradovic with an excellent lob: 1-1.

In the absolute final minute, however, things still went completely wrong for Tottenham. In the 95th minute, Amadej Marosa scored the winning goal against the ropes: 2-1.
