Alexis Beka Beka, a 22-year-old midfielder for OGC Nice, is currently threatening to jump off a bridge in France, reports say RMC Sports. The young Parisian stands on a towering viaduct with the thought of jumping. According to French reports, Nice has sent a psychologist to negotiate with Beka Beka. The current number two of Ligue 1 had a press conference scheduled for Friday, but it was canceled due to the situation surrounding Beka Beka.

RMC Sports speaks about a worrying situation. Beka Beka, who is known as a promising talent in France, is currently threatening to kill himself by jumping from a 100-meter-high bridge near the Nice stadium. “He has parked his car on the hard shoulder and is threatening to jump. The police and fire brigade are currently conducting negotiations with Beka Beka, while an intervention group is trying to keep the area safe. A psychologist from the club is on its way to assist with negotiations.”

Nice itself has not yet communicated to the outside world about the situation surrounding Beka Beka. A crisis meeting is currently underway at the club complex. It is unknown whether Beka Beka has been struggling with suicidal thoughts for some time. The midfielder was ‘just’ on the bench last week during the away match against AS Monaco (0-1). le Gymbut has not yet received any playing minutes under coach Francesco Farioli this season.

Beka Beka was acquired by Nice from Lokomotiv Moscow last summer for 12 million euros. Since then he has made 22 official appearances for the French club, scoring once. So far this season he has played a less important role in Nice’s selection. The former youth international of lesson Bleus is still fixed in the Allianz Riviera until mid-2027.
