The Disciplinary Committee of the French Football Federation has published the suspensions following the red cards during the crackdown between Paris Saint-Germain and Olympique Marseille (0-1). Neymar has to watch two duels (plus one conditional) because of his tap on the back of Álvaro González’s head. The investigation into the latter, who was accused of racism by Neymar, is still ongoing.

Layvin Kurzawa got the heaviest suspension of the five players who got red. The defender of PSG has to watch six games. Kurzawa hit in the absolute closing stages of Le Classique with opponent Jordan Amavi. Both players dealt blows with both fists and feet. Amavi is suspended for his part in the fight for three games.

To get the red card of Neymar was a lot to do afterwards. The star player of Paris Saint-Germain accused Álvaro González of racist statements towards him immediately after the match on Twitter. “It’s easy for the VAR to see my aggression. But I’d also like to see them catch that racist who scolded me for ‘mono hijo de puta’ (monkey motherf*cker)! That’s what I want to see! I hand out a tap and get sent away. But what will be done to him?”, the astonished Neymar asked out loud.

Leandro Paredes also received a red card because of his part in the battle. Like Neymar, PSG’s attacker is suspended for two duels (plus one conditional). Darío Benedetto of Marseille will have to watch one game.
