Neymar has once again been discredited. El Partidazo de COPE reports that the attacker of Paris Saint-Germain would have shouted something like ‘shit Chinese’ to Hiroki Sakai, the right back of Olympique Marseille, in the head-to-head game on September 13 at the Parc des Princes (0-1). It is also emphasized that the latter club would be in possession of photos showing that Neymar treated the Marseille defender racist. Sakai, incidentally, comes from Japan and not from China.

According to RMC Sport it is quite possible that the incident involving Neymar and Sakai is being investigated by the French Football Association. PSG’s star player was sent off in injury time in the tumultuous duel with Olympique Marseille by referee Jérôme Brisard, after slapping defender Álvaro González on the back of the head. The enraged Neymar announced a short time later via Twitter that González was calling him ‘mono hijo de puta’, which means something like ‘monkey bastard’. A few days later, Neymar was suspended for two matches, plus one conditional.

The Spanish television network Gol reported last week that Neymar in turn had made a homophobic comment to González. After studying the video images, it was concluded that the Brazilian would have shouted ‘puto maricon’, which means something like ‘dirty fag’, to the man at Olympique Marseille. However, due to the voice of the Spanish commentator, it is difficult to draw a definitive conclusion.

The meeting in Paris was a topic of conversation in France for days. Brisard eventually drew seventeen cards, including five red cards. In injury time, the fire hit the pan, including the dismissal of the outraged Neymar as a result.

Neymar Jr. continues afterwards that he was treated racially. André Villas-Boas of opponent Olympique Marseille: “I don’t know if it’s true, but racism is unacceptable.”
