Youssoufa Moukoko has still not extended his expiring contract with Borussia Dortmund due to an argument with his mother and father, reports have been reported. BILD. The 17-year-old’s current contract expires at the end of this season, but the German wants to wait until his 18th birthday (November 20) before signing a new contract.

Because Moukoko is a minor, his parents have yet to sign his contracts. From his eighteenth birthday, the young attacker is free of parental authority. BILD reports that Moukoko has been arguing with his father and mother for over two years. The disagreement is reportedly over money and Moukoko’s business adviser, Patrick Williams. The Dortmund striker’s father believes Williams is greedy and that the latter has caused Moukoko and his family to grow apart.

The relationship between the attacker and his family is said to be so bad that Moukoko no longer wants to support his father and mother financially. Another reason for the German to wait until his eighteenth birthday is according to BILD that his parents no longer have access to his money from that moment on. Dortmund would like to extend Moukoko’s contract for another three years, at a salary of more than three million euros per season.

The top talent fluctuates under trainer Edin Terzic between the bench and the base, but so far this season has accounted for four goals and five assists in sixteen games. Moukoko made his Dortmund debut one day after his 16th birthday, becoming the youngest player in Bundesliga history. A few weeks later, he also became the youngest debutant in Champions League history.
