Lille OSC has finally won another victory after three games without a win on Wednesday evening. The team of coach Jocelyn Gourvennec had their hands full with Stade de Reims at home, but did win: 2-1. Myron Boadu was 3-1 too strong for Saint-Etienne with AS Monaco, while Kamaldeen Sulemana took an absolute leading role at Stade Rennais. The attacker and his team won 6-0 against Clermont Foot and took two hits.

AS Monaco – Saint Etienne 3-1
Monaco, where Myron Boadu started in the starting lineup, was saved by the post twice early in the game on shots from Wahbi Khazri and Denis Bouanga respectively. After half an hour it was hit for the Monegasques, when Kevin Volland drove the ball into the roof of the goal from a difficult angle: 1-0. Moments later, Boadu, who had broken through, was knocked down by the far out goalkeeper Etienne Green, who was shown red. In the meantime, Saint-Étienne came back via Bouanga, who cleverly punted the ball in the penalty area: 1-1. After the break, Monaco was awarded a penalty after a handball from Timothee Kolodziejczak. Boadu was then substituted for Wissam Ben Yedder, who was able to use the penalty kick: 2-1. Ben Yedder made it 3-1 in the final phase, by filling in a cross from Volland.

Stade Rennais – Clermont Foot 6-0
Halfway through, Stade Rennais already enjoyed a comfortable 2-0 lead thanks to goals from Jonas Martin and Martin Terrier, both served by Benjamin Bourigeaud. In the second act, Kamaldeen Sulemana was in charge. Ten minutes after the break, the former Ajax target made it 3-0, when he made room for the shot and hit the inside of the right post. Within 120 seconds, Sulemana scored his second of the evening. This time the goal was easier, as he was given all the time and space from the rebound to shoot in from close range: 4-0. In the end, the home team walked even further away from Clermont. Gaetan Laborde made it 5-0 on a pass from Jonas Martin, while the final score was determined by Flavien Tait: 6-0.

Lille OSC – Stade de Reims 2-1
With Sven Botman (Lille), Azor Matusiwa and Mitchell van Bergen (Stade de Reims) in the base, the home team got off to the best start. Gabriel Gudmundsson, who came over from FC Groningen, got the ball from a rebound, but was unhappy in the completion and shot the ball past the right post. After half an hour of playing it was hit. Burak Yilmaz found Jonathan David with a cross at the far post, after which it was a breeze for the latter to hit the mark: 1-0.

The score was doubled on the stroke of half time by Benjamin André, when Yilmaz again took on the role as declarant. The Turk put a corner kick from the right side of the field right on the head of the midfielder, who outsmarted goalkeeper Predrag Rajkovic: 2-0. Stade de Reims did something back from the penalty spot fifteen minutes before time through Alexis Flips, but the visitors didn’t get any further than that. Lille rises to thirteenth place due to the victory and now has eight points from seven matches.
