Peter Bosz and Luuk de Jong lack words to describe their joy. Immediately after the 0-8 victory over SC Heerenveen and unofficially winning the national title, the duo spoke of 'the best match of the season. It is the second prize that PSV has won this season after previously winning the Johan Cruijff Shield.

“We were really good, really incredibly good,” Bosz concluded in front of the camera immediately afterwards ESPN. “I just stood around clapping at halftime. Insane, we reached such a high level. At times they wanted to pin us down, but we played football underneath that.”

“They were also beautiful goals. Of course we didn't start well in the five minutes after halftime, but then Johan Bakayoko scored a wonderful goal. An exclamation mark after the title? Yes, I think it is clear who is the best.”

Luuk de Jong then comes to stand next to his trainer, but Milan van Dongen wants to make one more comment towards Bosz. “Finally a prize, congratulations!” says the reporter. Both Bosz and De Jong seem to find it somewhat inappropriate. “No, he already had a prize,” the striker refers to the Johan Cruijff Scale.

De Jong himself is of course also very happy with the upcoming national title. “Of course they will never catch up with this. We'll go back and watch the match on the bus and then we'll see. Otherwise it will become official next week.”

“Today you saw our intentions from the first minute. There was a kind of different tension to the match. You feel it in everyone, everyone behaves a little differently during the week.”

“If you are 0-3 up within ten minutes… We have played some very good games this season, but this is the best. It all went very smoothly and the field was in fantastic condition,” concludes De Jong.
