Micky van de Ven is by the German magazine kicker included in the team of the week in the Bundesliga. The VfL Wolfsburg central defender has been rewarded for his strong performance against Eintracht Frankfurt. The ex-player of FC Volendam showed a strong appearance in the duel with Frankfurt. Van de Ven’s election does not come as a very big surprise. Since his time at Volendam, the defender has been known as a great talent, as a result of which Wolfsburg paid 3.5 million euros in the summer of 2021. In his first season, the four-time international of the Dutch Juniors was often a substitute. He also struggled with a hamstring injury between February and April 2022. However, since the start of the current season, Van de Ven has been fit again and has been on the field for 90 minutes in all Bundesliga matches this season.
Kicker has made a spot next to Van de Ven in the team of the week for Konstantinos Mavropanos of VfB Stuttgart, while the left and right back positions are occupied by Tobias Mohr (Schalke 04) and Mohamed Simakan (RB Leipzig), respectively.
