Kylian Mbappe has decided at the very last minute to extend his expiring contract with Paris Saint-Germain, it assures Le Parisien† The French daily reports an agreement in principle between the 23-year-old star attacker and the Paris superpower. Mbappé could not resist the temptation after an insane offer: the striker will sign up for a net (!) annual salary of 50 million euros per season and a net (!) signing premium of 100 million euros for two seasons. In addition, there is an option for another year. This makes Mbappé by far the highest paid footballer of the moment.

Mbappe thus seems to put an end to the transfer soap that has been playing around his person for more than a year. Real Madrid did everything they could for a year to bring in the top attacker, but the Qatari owners of PSG now seem to be pulling the longest straw. According to Le Parisien Real has since been informed of Mbappe’s explicit intention to extend his contract in France.

The 2018 world champion has optimally exploited his negotiating position and sees almost all his wishes being granted. In addition to the financial offer from Qatar, which is more financially powerful than Real Madrid, Mbappé has received guarantees regarding his portrait rights. The club’s top scorer has also received sporting guarantees: Mbappé will form the heart of the sporting project in the coming years. The Frenchman is prepared to do everything in his power to achieve his two big goals in the coming years: on a personal level that is to win the Ballon d’Or, at club level to win the Champions League.

Mbappe demands players around him who are willing to make as many sacrifices as himself and, according to the French newspaper, saw directly at Neymar’s chair legs. Mbappe reportedly doesn’t feel the same self-sacrifice in his Brazilian star team-mate as he does in himself. Rumors have been circulating in France for much longer about a possible departure of Neymar, who is personally going through an extremely poor season.
