Manchester City have signed a double deal with Troyes in the closing hours of the summer transfer market. Both Philippe Sandler and Patrick Roberts will finish the season on a rental basis at the Ligue 1 club, the clubs announce through the official channels. Troyes is currently the last of the French competition with one point from four matches.

The deal between Manchester City and Troyes is no surprise, as the Ligue 1 club belongs to the City Football Group. His rental comes as no surprise to Sandler either. The 24-year-old Dutchman was taken over by Manchester City three years ago from PEC Zwolle, but to date he has only played two games for the main force.

Sandler was temporarily based at Anderlecht two seasons ago, where former Citizen Vincent Kompany in front of the selection. He came to eleven duels for the Brussels team. The past football season passed him almost completely by an operation on his ankle. He played a few games for the youth team at the end of the season.

His rental comes as no surprise to Roberts. The 24-year-old winger was taken over from Fulham six years ago for fifteen million euros. He made three appearances in his first half, but then went on a journey that took him past Celtic, Spain’s Girona, Norwich City, Middlesbrough, Derby County and now Troyes.
