Manchester United have launched a concrete plan to offload Antony and Jadon Sancho, it has been reported The Evening Standard. The Mancunians spent more than 180 million euros for the pair and want to try to recoup part of that amount.

While Sancho came over from Borussia Dortmund for 85 million euros in the summer of 2021, Antony transferred from Ajax to United more than a year later for around 95 million euros. Both have so far failed to repay the high transfer fee.

Sancho is now trying his luck on a loan deal with old love Borussia Dortmund. Antony seems to be finishing the season at Old Trafford, but has not yet scored in 22 official matches this season. He also did not provide an assist yet.

The pair have been considered redundant by Manchester United for some time, but the club wants to recoup a large part of the purchase price, 180 million euros. That should happen in Saudi Arabia, it is reported The Evening Standard.

United wants fifty million pounds for both players, equivalent to around 115 million euros. Sancho already appeared on the radar at Steven Gerrard's Al-Ettifaq last summer. The Saudis did not agree to a mandatory purchase option of fifty million pounds.

By signing the English winger to Borussia Dortmund for six months, United hopes to recoup some of his value. If Sancho develops well, clubs may be lining up for the winger next summer.

An uncertain future also awaits Antony. The Brazilian was brought to United on the recommendation of Ten Hag, but cannot yet meet the sky-high expectations. In 66 official matches for United, he scored eight times and scored three times.

Casemiro and Varane
However, United's problem seems to be that it is not Antony or Sancho but Casemiro who is the most wanted player in Saudi Arabia. The midfielder, who was sidelined for a long time with an ankle injury, still has a contract at Old Trafford until mid-2026.

Raphaël Varane is also scheduled to leave for Saudi Arabia. However, the chance seems small that United will receive a high transfer fee from him. The Frenchman has chosen not to include an option in his contract to extend for another year.
