Noa Lang was injured on Saturday at the training of the Dutch national team. After a tackle from Tyrell Malacia, Club Brugge’s winger lay on the grass in pain and grabbed his ankle.

After the charge of Malacia, with whom he has had a good relationship since childhood, Lang stumbled off the training field and was briefly treated by team doctor Edwin Goedhart. Lang wanted to resume the practice session afterwards. However, Louis van Gaal did not think that was a good idea and kept the attacker aside.

Just like Malacia, he is still waiting for his first playing minutes at the World Cup in Qatar. In the attack, Van Gaal has provisionally opted for Steven Bergwijn, Vincent Janssen, Cody Gakpo and Memphis Depay, so there are few prospects for Lang. At left-back, Daley Blind has long been number one under Van Gaal.
