Romelu Lukaku has given a sneer to Zlatan Ibrahimovic via Instagram. The attacker of Internazionale celebrated the national championship with his team for the first time since his departure from Anderlecht in 2010, after Atalanta choked on a visit to Sassuolo (1-1). Lukaku seized the moment to rekindle an old feud with Ibrahimovic. The two attack leaders got into an altercation in January in the quarterfinals of the Coppa Italia, with Lukaku pressing his head against Ibrahimovic’s.

“The real God has crowned the king. And now bow. Greetings, the king of Milan,” Lukaku wrote on Instagram on Monday afternoon with a photo with a number of cheering teammates. A message addressed to Ibrahimovic, as both strikers have been at odds since their January collision between Internazionale and AC Milan. The feud started in February last year, when Lukaku was too strong with Inter with 4-2 in the city derby and the Belgian striker was accurate. “There is a new king in town,” Lukaku hurled the internet, referring to Ibrahimovic’s return to the Italian fields.

More than half a year later, the roles were reversed and Ibrahimovic ensured a victory for Milan over the fellow townsman and arch rival with two hits. “Milan has never had a king. Milan has a God,” wrote the Swede. The online battle ended on the field in the January 26 encounter, when the attackers fought an altercation in the quarter-finals of the cup. Both strikers even stood with their heads against each other. “Well let’s go inside you bitch! Fuck you and your wife! You want to speak about my mother you son of a bitch? I’ll shoot you in your head. Go do your voodoo shit, you little donkey (donkey, ed.)“, Ibrahimovic Lukaku shouted after the latter sought confrontation at half-time.

Ibrahimovic was referring to the words ‘go do your voodoo shit’ possibly in an affair that revolved around Lukaku’s transfer from Everton to Manchester United in 2017. Everton owner Farhad Moshiri claimed at the time that Lukaku made his decision to leave the Toffees had taken on the basis of ‘a voodoo message’ from his mother, but that was denied by Lukaku in all ways. Ibrahimovic posted a tweet the day after the game in which he denied having racist views. “We all have the same race and are all equal. We are all players and some are better than others. ”
