Tottenham Hotspur is still working on the arrival of Joe Rodon at the last minute. The transfer window in the Football League is still open until 6:00 PM – 5:00 PM UK time – and the Spurs will have to reach an agreement with Swansea City before then. However, there is still a significant difference between supply and demand in the negotiations about the 22-year-old center-back.

Eric Dier is currently struggling with a hamstring injury and it is not known how long he will be out of circulation. The England international formed the central duo in the defense of Tottenham Hotspur before the international break together with Davinson Sánchez, while manager José Mourinho still has Toby Alderweireld and youngster Japhet Tanganga behind after the departure of Jan Vertonghen to Benfica. Bee the Spurs is now apparently of the opinion that the flush in terms of center-backs is too thin, so that Rodon has to increase the possibilities for Mourinho at the last minute.

The transfer window in the Football League is still open until 6 p.m. Dutch time. Premier League clubs are no longer allowed to do business with each other, but can attract players from lower levels. Rodon was trained by Swansea City and broke into the main force two years ago, for which he now has 54 official games to his name. The Swans have started the season very well and are currently in fourth place in the Championship, with ten points from four games.

The Daily Telegraph writes that Swansea City is “not in a position” to keep Rodon on board, but at the same time states that the decision to sell him is being made by US owners Jason Levien and Steven Kaplan. Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has registered with ten million euros in Wales, although his offer also contains the necessary bonuses that can significantly increase the transfer fee. However, there is a significant difference between supply and demand, because Swansea City is demanding double for a four-time Welsh international: twenty million euros.
