Liverpool had no trouble with Sparta Prague on Thursday evening. The Reds were already 4-0 ahead after fifteen minutes thanks to goals from Darwin Núñez, Bobby Clark, Mohamed Salah and Cody Gakpo. After the break, Gakpo also scored his second, while Dominik Szoboszlai also appeared on the scoreboard: 6-1. After the 1-5 win in Prague, it was more than enough for Liverpool to reach the quarter-finals of the Europa League.

Lierpool had a fantastic opening phase, to say the least. Clark passed on to Szoboszlai, who saw the space with Núñez. The Uruguayan finished with a placed shot in the short corner: 1-0. The 2-0 came so quickly that the cameras could barely catch the goal live. Very sloppy defending gave possession to Salah, who presented Clark with an opportunity not to be missed.

New loss of ball in Sparta Prague's defense resulted in goal number three for Liverpool. Salah took over possession and shot from close range: 3-0. The Egyptian found himself in an outlaw position on the right before the fifteen minute mark and laid off to Gakpo, who simply tapped in: 4-0.

Liverpool then took their foot off the accelerator, although Núñez should have made it 5-0. The Uruguayan missed in an outlaw position by shooting over a few meters from the goal. Instead of 5-0, it became 4-1 at the other end. Ángelo Preciado gave a good pass to Veljko Birmancevic, who scored a Czech goal with a roller.

Liverpool continued to score happily in the second half. This time Szoboszlai also ended up on the scoreboard. The Hungarian was played by Salah, was given too much space to play and took full advantage of it. His right-footed shot flew into the short corner: 5-1.

Barely ten minutes after the interruption, Liverpool's next goal was a fact. A deflected corner ended up at the feet of Harvey Elliott, whose shot flew in via Gakpo. The replay showed that the ex-PSV player netted the ball with a nice backheel: 6-1.

Gakpo had several opportunities to score a hat-trick in the remainder, but was unable to do so. In injury time, Gakpo put the ball into the net, but his hat-trick was canceled due to offside.
