Adrien Rabiot faces a transfer to Manchester United. That knows L’Equipe to report. The French midfielder is out of his contract with Juventus and would already be with Erik ten Hag, the trainer of the Red Devils, have discussed a possible transfer. United have been chasing Rabiot for some time.

Since the summer of 2019, the red club from Manchester has been hoping for the arrival of Rabiot, but then Juventus won the transfer battle. Since then, United has tried almost every transfer window to sign Rabiot, but each time there was a hitch. Now that the Frenchman can be picked up on a free transfer next summer, fewer problems are expected. Rabiot would say L’Equipe have already decided to change clubs themselves and after several conversations with Ten Hag, the move to Old Trafford now seems to be really being made.

However, the 28-year-old midfielder has several options in the Premier League. Newcastle United think they have a chance to win Rabiot if they finish in the top four and grab a Champions League ticket. Nevertheless, Man United is in pole position, because Ten Hag has indicated in conversations with Rabiot that he is very fond of him and that sounded like music to the ears of the player himself. In addition, Manchester is not an unknown city for Rabiot.

At the age of thirteen he left the safe environment of Créteil, where Rabiot was in the youth, to play in Manchester City’s academy. The midfielder returned a year later, after which he ended up at Paris Saint-Germain via Pau FC. That club rented him out to Toulouse for six months in 2013 and let him leave for Juventus on a free transfer in the summer of 2019. This season, Rabiot came to 44 official matches for Juve, in which he scored eleven times and delivered four assists.
