RB Leipzig took full advantage of Bayern Munich’s misstep on Sunday afternoon. The team of trainer Julian Nagelsmann was 0-3 too strong when visiting Hertha BSC. Captain Marcel Sabitzer broke the spell for the visitors with a beautiful long shot, after which Nordi Mukiele and Willi Orban secured the victory in the second half. With the victory, Leipzig narrows the gap with the leader Bayern, who lost 2-1 at Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday, to two points.
Leipzig, which went down 0-2 in-house against Liverpool in the Champions League on Tuesday, started the game strongly.
