Internazionale achieved a nice victory over Atalanta on Saturday evening. I Nerazzurri won 1-2 in Bergamo thanks to goals from Hakan Calhanoglu and Lautaro Martínez. Gianluca Scamacca did something back, but an equalizer was no longer possible. Inter is proudly at the top of Serie A with 28 points from 11 matches. Atalanta is currently fifth, although it can still be overtaken by Fiorentina.

Particularities:
Both teams had opportunities in the opening phase, although Matteo Ruggeri perhaps came closest. His rebound just flew past the wrong side of the post. Atalanta, with Teun Koopmeiners and Marten de Roon in the starting line-up, was awarded a penalty five minutes before half-time after a foul by Juan Musso. Calhanoglu stood behind the ball and scored: 0-1. The Turk also came close to 0-2 moments later, but this time Musso had an answer.

In the opening phase after the break, Inter was by far the more dangerous team. For example, Federico Dimarco’s shot went just wide and Lautaro’s goal was disallowed for offside. The Argentinian was able to cheer moments later. Henrikh Mkhitaryan brought the ball to Lautaro, who took a fantastic shot to the far corner: 0-2. Atalanta showed a fighting spirit and quickly came alongside through Scamacca, who hit the target with a low, hard shot into the bottom right corner, but that was it.
