Moussa Wagué will again not play for Barcelona this season. The right back was already on loan to OGC Nice in the first half of 2020 and will play for PAOK Saloniki in the coming year. Barcelona reports on Monday afternoon through official channels of the departure of the right back on a rental basis to the Greeks, who will take over his entire salary. Wagué is still in the Camp Nou until mid-2023.

WaguĂ©’s name came along earlier on Monday as one of twelve players according to ASH on the ‘black list’ of Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman. The trainer is said to have informed the Senegalese in a personal interview that he will not be counted on him this season, so that WaguĂ© could look out for a new employer.

With PAOK, the right back has now quickly found a new club. The 21-year-old wing defender has been a player for Barcelona since the summer of 2018, which at the time took him over from KAS Eupen for five million euros. However, Wagué has not had a major impact at the Camp Nou for now, as the counter has only six official games in the main force so far.

With the departure of WaguĂ©, Koeman’s ‘big cleaning’ starts to take further shape. Ivan Rakitic has already left for Seville, while Arturo Vidal and Luis Suárez seem well on their way to Internazionale and AtlĂ©tico Madrid respectively. Riqui Puig, Carles Aleña, Pedri, Matheus Fernandes, Samuel Umtiti, Juan Miranda, Oriol Busquets, Rafinha Alcántara and Jean-Clair Todibo would also be allowed to leave, whether or not on a temporary basis.
