Juventus has made an offer of seven million euros for Denis Zakaria, it knows Sky Sport Italy. The 25-year-old midfielder of Borussia Mönchengladbach has already personally agreed with La Vecchia Signora and is currently in the waiting room. However, to complete the arrival of Zakaria, Juventus will still have to sell a player in the last days of the winter transfer window.

Juventus has taken a major blow on the transfer market with the arrival of Dusan Vlahovic, but hopes this transfer window also welcomes a new midfielder in the person of Zakaria. The Swiss international, who has an expiring contract, could leave Mönchengladbach in January. Juventus saw Zakaria as an interesting option to strengthen the squad next summer, but hope to get ahead of the competition by signing him this winter.

Mönchengladbach is currently experiencing a disappointing season in the Bundesliga and is currently in a meager twelfth place. If the Germans accept the offer of seven million euros, they will at least prevent Zakaria from walking out the door for free next summer. However, it is not yet a foregone conclusion that the midfielder will move to Turin in the coming days. Juventus will first have to sell a player themselves. Tottenham Hotspur are still interested in Dejan Kulusevski, while Aston Villa have their sights set on Rodrigo Bentancur, making them the two most likely candidates to leave.

Fabrizio Romano reported earlier this week that Zakaria could also count on interest from Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and Manchester United, while a move to Liverpool was ruled out by the transfer market expert. The midfielder has made sixteen appearances in the Bundesliga so far this season and has accounted for two goals and one assist.
