Juventus did not get any further than a points division on Saturday evening in the Serie A to visit Venezia. Álvaro Morata gave the visitors the lead before half-time, but Venezia came alongside in the second half via Mattia Aramu: 1-1. Massimiliano Allegri saw Paulo Dybala out after twelve minutes with a knee injury. Due to the draw, Juventus remains in sixth place with 28 points from 17 matches.
Venezia started the Serie A match on Saturday with a large number of former Eredivisie players. Sergio Romero, Ridgeciano Haps, Tyronne Ebuehi and Dennis Johnsen all have a history in the Dutch competition. Juventus did not come up with great opportunities in the opening phase. It did, however, have to deal with a major setback, because Dybala had to leave after twelve minutes with an injury. Allegri lost the necessary quality with the retirement of his Argentine star player and Kaio Jorge as a replacement. Jorge, on the other hand, was cold in the field on a pass from Matthijs de Ligt close to the opening goal.
Alvaro Morata on the advice of Luca Pellegrini ?? But weren’t hands made beforehand? ??#ZiggoSport #SeriesA #VeneziaJuve pic.twitter.com/sZWSVkKlwQ

The Dutch defender also showed himself defensively with an excellent intervention, when Johnsen had a free shooting chance. Juventus insisted more and came out dangerously via Morata. Romero proved his worth for the home side with a good save. A few minutes later, however, the Venezia goalkeeper had to bow to the visitors’ striker. Luca Pellegrini gave a tailor-made cross to Morata, who reached the near post before his direct opponent Mattia Caldara: 0-1. La Vecchia Signora wanted to consolidate the lead after the break, but soon ran into the equalizer. Haps put wide on Mattia Aramu, who did not hesitate and curled the ball into the bottom left corner from about twenty meters: 1-1.

The equalizer was a big blow for Juventus, which failed to create a good opportunity until halfway through the second half. Federico Bernardeschi had the 1-2 on his shoes. However, the attacker shot hard at Romero’s fists from close range. A few offensive substitutions did not bring any solace to the visitors in the final phase.
