The Spanish journalist Josep Pedrerol has in the program El Chiringuito the demands of Sergio Ramos in the contract negotiations with a new club revealed. It was announced on Wednesday evening that the expiring contract of the 35-year-old center defender at Real Madrid would not be extended, so that he can be picked up on a free transfer this summer. Clubs, however, have to dig into their pockets to bring in Ramos.

Pedrerol reports that Ramos wants to sign a two-year contract with his new club, with a net annual salary of fifteen million euros. He also wants a signing bonus of twenty million euros from the club that will pick him up on a free transfer. The Spanish journalist also reports that Ramos would have spoken with AC Milan. I Rossoneric at least meet Ramos’ demand that his new club must be active in the Champions League, as a ticket to the group stage of the billion-dollar ball was secured by a second place in Serie A.

AC Milan is not one of the interested clubs that passed earlier this week ASH were mentioned. According to the Spanish newspaper, Manchester City, Manchester United, Sevilla and Paris Saint-Germain are concrete in the market for Ramos. Value Daily Mirror confirmed this news by reporting that Manchester United had offered Ramos a two-year contract, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano put an end to a return to Sevilla. “Sergio Ramos is NOT going to Seville. It has never been an option, they are not interested in Ramos and a return has not even been considered,” Romano wrote on Twitter.

Ramos made his professional football debut with Sevilla and moved to Real Madrid in 2005, with whom he could not now find an agreement on a new contract. The defender only received a contract proposal from Real Madrid until next summer, with a salary reduction of ten percent. The veteran only agreed to the financial sacrifice if he could sign for two years, but chairman Florentino Perez did not want to cooperate.

“I just wanted to continue here. Real offered me a contract for one year in recent months, with a salary reduction. However, money was never an issue and the chairman (Florentino Pérez, ed.) knows that too. It was about the contract. They made me an offer for one year, while I wanted to sign up for two more years. I wanted certainty for my family,” Ramos clarified at a press conference on Thursday. “During the last conversation I said I agreed with the offer, but then I was told that the offer had been withdrawn.”

Ramos won everything there was to win with Real Madrid: five league titles, four times the Spanish Super Cup, two times the Copa del Rey, three times the European Super Cup, four times the Champions League and four times the World Cup for club teams. The defender, who captained los Merengues since 2015/16, has played a total of 671 games in all competitions for Real Madrid. In it he was good for no less than 101 goals. He was also responsible for 39 other hits.
