Andries Jonker announces selection of the Dutch Lionesses

National coach Andries Jonker has announced the selection of the the Dutch Lionesses for the semi-final in the Nations League against Spain. Vivianne Miedema, who was a doubt for a while due to knee problems, is present. Jill Roord is missing due to a serious cruciate ligament injury. Romée Leuchter and Shanice van de Sanden have been called up by Jonker.

The match between the Netherlands and Spain will be played on Friday, February 23 at 9 p.m. Jonker's team is still in the race to qualify for the Olympic Games this summer. It is not known how much money is involved in the deal. Between 2016 and 2020, the Japanese pay channel also owned the rights to the Eredivisie.

The new contract will come into effect from Friday, February 16. There are currently six players playing in the Eredivisie with Yukinari Sugawara (AZ), Ayase Ueda (Feyenoord), Koki Ogawa, Kodai Sano (both NEC), Koki Saito and Shunsuke Mito (both Sparta Rotterdam).
