Leverkusen became German champions for the first time in club history in April. On Saturday, that championship was given a little extra shine by not losing in the last Bundesliga match of the season. As a result, Leverkusen remained undefeated throughout the Bundesliga season.

To celebrate the great success, Frimpong gave himself and all his teammates a special gift: a self-designed ring. Each ring bears the name and jersey number of the player who receives it. In addition, each ring contains 120 diamonds, referring to the club's 120th anniversary.

Leverkusen's season can become even better: it will play the Europa League final against Atalanta on Wednesday, after which the DFB-Pokal can also be won next Saturday. FC Kaiserslautern is the opponent in the final of the German cup tournament.
