Valencia recorded a business win in LaLiga on Saturday night. At the Mestalla got loose Che visit from Villarreal, which was defeated 2-0. Hugo Guillamón and Carlos Soler took care of the Valencian goal production. Valencia – Villarreal 2-0
In the first act, the entertainment value in the the Dutch City was quite limited as both teams only produced one shot. The first attempt came from the foot of José Gayá, who had a hard shot from the left after fifteen minutes of play, but missed the goal by a hair’s breadth. Danjuma didn’t have fortune on his side. After half an hour of play, Danjuma hit the post with a hard shot. On the stroke of half-time, Cillessen prevented Serge Aurier from opening the score with a nice save.
However, there was still a goal before half-time. After a quick throw-in from Dimitri Foulquier, Guillamón was able to break through Villarreal’s defense. Face to face with goalkeeper Geronimo Rulli, he then finished off ingeniously with a marker: 1-0. The goal in the second company came fifteen minutes before the final whistle. Alberto Moreno made a mistake and made an obvious foul on Foulquier, after which referee José Munuera put the ball on the spot. Substitute Soler scored flawlessly from eleven meters: 2-0.
Seville – Osasuna 2-0
In the midweek round, Osasuna still held out against Real Madrid (0-0), but a point was not in it this time. From the first whistle, los Rojilos lost, and after missed opportunities from Erik Lamela, Marcos Acuña and Rafa Mir, among others, Diego Carlos struck just before half-time. After a custom cross from Ivan Rakitic, the Brazilian defender nodded from close range: 1-0. After an hour of play, Sevilla doubled their lead. After a horrific misunderstanding between goalkeeper Juan Pérez and Jesús Areso, Lucas Ocampos was able to take over the ball, after which he tapped into an empty goal: 2-0. Karim Rekik was not part of the match selection due to injury, while Oussama Idrissi remained on the bench for ninety minutes. Thanks to the victory, the team of coach Julen Lopetegui continues to sail in the wake of leader Real Madrid, who also collected 24 points. Real Sociedad is third with the same number of points but a less goal difference.
