Valencia – Villarreal 2-0

After half an hour of play, Danjuma hit the post with a hard shot. On the stroke of half-time, Cillessen prevented Serge Aurier from opening the score with a nice save.

However, there was still a goal before half-time. After a quick throw-in from Dimitri Foulquier, Guillamón was able to break through Villarreal’s defense. Face to face with goalkeeper Geronimo Rulli, he then finished off ingeniously with a marker: 1-0. The goal in the second company came fifteen minutes before the final whistle. Alberto Moreno made a mistake and made an obvious foul on Foulquier, after which referee José Munuera put the ball on the spot. Substitute Soler scored flawlessly from eleven meters: 2-0.

From the first whistle, los Rojilos lost, and after missed opportunities from Erik Lamela, Marcos Acuña and Rafa Mir, among others, Diego Carlos struck just before half-time. After a custom cross from Ivan Rakitic, the Brazilian defender nodded from close range: 1-0. After an hour of play, Sevilla doubled their lead.
