Latest update:

Jadon Sancho is no longer a Manchester United player. The English have agreed with Borussia Dortmund on a temporary transfer of the wing attacker, Dortmund announced. Sancho will finish the season on loan those Boruseswho have not negotiated a purchase option.

The transfer has been close to completion for some time now. Sancho soon left Dortmund, but the clubs were still at odds over a rental fee and the final details of the Englishman's salary.

But those wrinkles have also now been ironed out. Dortmund will pay around four million euros to have the technician available for six months. That amount includes both the rent and part of the Englishman's salary.

Therefore, there is nothing to stand in the way of Sancho's transition to Signal Iduna Park. With much fanfare, Sancho took the opposite path in the summer of 2021. Manchester United paid 85 million euros at the time to free the 23-time international from Dortmund.

However, Sancho never managed to make his mark in Manchester. His low point followed this season the Mancunians after clashing with manager Erik ten Hag. The Dutch manager said Sancho did not put in enough training work.

In a response on social media, the 23-year-old attacker then accused Ten Hag of 'spreading lies'. Because he did not apologize, he was no longer welcome at the club.

The exiled Sancho therefore saw the greatest benefit in a return to Dortmund, where he made waves between 2017 and 2021. Back at his old home, he sees the best opportunities to revive his career.

With a view to the 2026 European Championship in Germany, Sancho hopes to put himself in the spotlight of England coach Gareth Southgate in the host country.
