Andy van der Meijde is happy that Mohammed Ihattaren has accepted the initiative of Wesley Sneijder to help him. Ihattaren has a lot of qualities that everyone can enjoy.” Van der Meijde has tried in vain to contact Ihattaren several times in the past. “I’m just a person who tries to help people, if they don’t want to, that’s fine too. That doesn’t bother me. I just think it’s great that he takes his last chance with Wesley Sneijder, because this really is.”
‘s analyst Veronica Inside is convinced that Sneijder can help the attacking midfielder. “I think Wesley can reach him, yes,” says Van der Meijde. “I hope for Ihattaren that he can focus on football. He’s just a really good boy with a good heart. He just needs to train, go home, sleep, train, etcetera. At some point he will play games. He should not come into contact with anyone, be alone with good people around him, then he will get there.”
