Kenneth Perez would advise Noussair Mazraoui to sign with Ajax. The full-back is still in possession of an expiring contract, despite the fact that both sides have more than once expressed the ambition to continue together in recent months. Perez warns Mazraoui in the program football talk by ESPN that a club that brings him in on a free transfer will probably have little patience.
Freek Jansen, Ajax watcher on behalf of Football International, mentions in the program that Mazraoui is open to a new adventure. He concludes that ‘the game is on the car’, as Mazraoui has also been represented by Mino Raiola since last summer. “That’s dangerous,” Perez responds. “Then you will be taken somewhere transfer-free and you just have to wait and see.”
“I would advise him to sign up with Ajax”, emphasizes the analyst. “Another club will take him without any risk. Because if it doesn’t quite work out, you got him on a free transfer. “It’s money”, concludes Perez about the current state of affairs around Mazraoui. “If he doesn’t extend with Ajax but signs with Everton, I think you get so much more there. Let’s say Ajax might want to go up to one and a half million. If he can sign with Everton on a free transfer and he gets four million, that is also attractive for a player. They are euro signs. He is very much in place and the question is how good he is without the Ajax game.”
