Francesco Totti applauds a possible transfer from Paulo Dybala to AS Roma. The 28-year-old attacker announced that he would leave Juventus on a free transfer this summer after securing a Champions League ticket. Dybala has the choice of clubs, but if it is up to Totti he chooses i Giallorossi

Totti spoke briefly with Italian media on Monday prior to the so-called benefit duel ‘Integration Heroes, which took place at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza. The charity gala competition was hosted by Samuel Eto’o, who had invited a handful of top players from the past and present. One of them was Paulo Dybala. TyC Sports recently reported that Roma has made a formal proposal to the Argentine forward.

Totti hopes that Dybala eventually opts for a summer switch to AS Roma. “I will try to convince him to come to Rome,” the former professional footballer said a few days ago. On arrival at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, Totti was confronted with his previous statements. “I would also like to give him the number 10 shirt when he comes to AS Roma, but I am not the one who decides.”

For Dybala, his period at Juventus will come to an end after seven seasons. The attacker is one of the most wanted transfer targets next summer, partly because of his transfer-free status. However, Dybala has not yet made the decision regarding a new club. “I’m relaxed, at the moment I’m focusing on the national team and then I’m on vacation. I don’t know what I’m going to do yet,” Dybala told Sky Sport Italy, and then also respond to Totti’s statements. “He is a celebrity, an idol for anyone who loves football. I certainly listen to his words.”
