Johan Derksen catches up on Friday evening Today Inside once again to the management of AZ. The regular table guest of the popular talk show finds the explanation of technical director regarding the dismissal of trainer Pascal Jansen incomprehensible.

“I was very annoyed by that technical director of AZ,” the surprised Derksen specifically targeted Huiberts. “They then say that they were afraid that Jansen would not achieve the objectives.”

“He lost to FC Twente and it was difficult against Quick Boys.” AZ lost 2-1 in Enschede and needed penalties to shake off the amateurs in the eighth final of the TOTO KNVB Cup on Tuesday. “That man should really be ashamed of himself.”

“And now they put someone in front who has no experience at all,” Derksen refers to Maarten Martens, the former AZ midfielder who will temporarily do the honors in Alkmaar after Jansen's dismissal.

“If I were the union for trainers, I would advise a trainer against working under that technical director at AZ. Because you are completely outlawed.”

“And Huiberts has a good name, because he sells all the good players. The Supervisory Board thinks he's such a guy,” Derksen cynically gives a thumbs up at the end of his story about AZ.

Previous criticism
Derksen had in on Wednesday Today Inside also strong criticism of general director Robert Eenhoorn. “That Unicorn is a very stubborn owner, you know. Stop that director of Ajax (Alex Kroes, ed.) and Arne Slot also had to leave immediately when it became known that he was talking to Feyenoord…”

“He is a bit of a little tyrant, a baseball tyrant,” Derksen was adamant. “I think he is now failing hopelessly. I can't think of any argument why Jansen should have been fired. He deserved a contract extension and pay increase.”
