André Onana takes an advance on Instagram on his transfer to Manchester United. The 27-year-old goalkeeper says goodbye to the supporters of Internazionale with a statement. “I never thought a farewell would be so hard,” said the former Ajax goalkeeper.

Onana has only played a year for Inter, which took him away from Amsterdam on a free transfer. “I turned one a year ago Nerazzurro. Many people told me that there was something special about this club and this city. Now I can confirm it. In my early days as Nerazzurro I realized this is a family, that Interisti being is a way of life.”

“I fell in love with the San Siro, la Curva and the city,” says Onana. “Now the circumstances are right for me to start a new journey in Manchester. I do it with great enthusiasm, but know that I will miss you. Eternal gratitude to all Interisti. You make this club great.”

It is expected that Manchester United will eventually pay a fixed amount of 54 million euros plus 5 million euros in variables for Onana, who will be presented soon. “Maybe our paths will cross again someday, but now it’s time to take on new challenges and support Inter from a distance. Players come and go, but the club will always exist and Inter is above everything and everyone,” concludes the Cameroonian.
