Myron Boadu, Calvin Stengs and Teun Koopmeiners are on the lists of several top European clubs, AZ-scout Arthur Numan reveals this Sunday morning in the online talk show by Football International. Boadu and Stengs have been followed by Ajax for some time now and the former left back of PSV and the Dutch team, among others, understands why the attackers are in demand.

“These are the great talents who work at AZ on a great complex,” says Numan in conversation with presenter Kees Jansma. “They are interesting players for the future. The youth training is in excellent shape at AZ, and so are the young people who are still arriving. To then shift attention to the transfer market. “Many players are interested, from abroad as well. Everything has a price, but that’s not up to me. I can imagine that Boadu and Stengs are also interesting for Ajax. Many clubs have become more cautious now, we’ll have to wait and see what happens next”.

Keihard judgment Wim Kieft: ‘Of course, that’s not a player for Ajax’.

The analyst doesn’t understand why Ajax is after the young attacker.Read article

Numan also emphasizes that AZ cannot compete with clubs like Ajax and PSV in terms of transfer fees. “They can pay millions”, the scout in Alkmaar sighs. “We’re looking at a different kind of market. We are looking at guys with potential who can join AZ. Now we have Jesper Karlsson from IF Elfsborg and earlier Hakon Evjen. Fetching top players is very difficult for us, they ask so much money for it.”

The AZ-scout immediately comes up with a suitable example. Ajax laid down fifteen million euros this summer for the Brazilian wing attacker Antony. “Amounts like that are not achievable. When we see matches of youth teams we chart that and make reports, but sometimes we already see amounts that are very high. We scout for potential. We have a great training complex here and the players have to adapt quickly to the style of play”, Numan concludes his story.
