Michiel Kramer does not hope that Ajax will beat AEK Athens in the Europa League on Thursday evening.

The RKC Waalwijk attacker is an avid Feyenoord supporter. He reflected on Monday evening Veronica Offside ahead of Ajax’s European match.

“I certainly hope that Ajax does not take coefficient points for the Netherlands,” said Kramer, when asked about this by Hugo Borst. “No, I don’t think they need to win on Thursday.”

The 34-year-old striker played with RKC in Waalwijk against Ajax on Saturday. Kramer made it 1-1 by tapping in a cross from Aaron Meijers. He then celebrated his goal in a somewhat provocative manner by laughing at the away section of Ajax supporters.

“What were you doing with those supporters when you scored?” Borst wondered. “Nothing, I just looked at them. Laughing,” Kramer responded. “Then you have to keep in mind that you should not provoke them,” Borst thought.

Kramer then came up with an explanation for his goal celebration. “We had a corner in the first minute. So I walked past that Ajax section, then of course you can fill in what is thrown at you. The ‘k-words’ are then quite common. Somehow I have to drop by.”

“Just walking by?” Wilfred Genee asked afterwards, with which the presenter referred to Kramer’s way of cheering when he scored against AZ at the beginning of this season. The striker made an obscene gesture at the time, which he described as ‘opening a bottle of champagne’. Bee Veronica Offside he came up with a new name. “Dice. I could also play dice against Ajax,” laughed Kramer. “Well I wouldn’t do that, then they’ll come around again,” Borst joked. “Another reprimand. Beautiful,” Kramer concluded.
