Micah Richards was absent from the kick-off of the new Champions League season on Wednesday for a very special reason. CBS Sports. The analyst and former professional footballer usually forms a permanent trio with Thierry Henry and Jamie Carragher, but this time he allowed his colleagues to appear alone. Kate Abdo explained Richards’ absence.
“It’s a lot quieter in this studio today,” the presenter kicked off. “You would think it would be something important if Micah skipped a broadcast, a gala to raise money for a good cause, for example.” However, nothing turned out to be further from the truth. Abdo showed a video of Richards participating in the British game show A League of Their Own.

The hilarious video shows Richards riling up the game show audience before performing a belly slide. “He chose this over Champions League football? What a clown. He does everything for the money,” Carragher said jokingly. Henry was also amazed. “Is this serious?” A League of Their Own is a well-known British game show and has another former footballer as permanent team captain Jamie Redknapp.
