Maarten van Rossem has once again expressed his annoyance with René van der Gijp. The 78-year-old historian already announced in October that he boycotts Today Inside as long as Van der Gijp is sitting at the table. “The guiding spirit of this company, René van der Gijp, is one of those men who never got older than 17. It’s infantile,” says van Rossem.
The program ended on Thursday 29 April, when Derksen indicated that he no longer wanted to sit at the table. The reason for this was the national commotion that arose after he shared a story about possible transgressive behavior by a woman in his younger years. Talpa announced on Thursday that the program will return to television after more than two weeks. Van Rossem does not have much trouble with the discredited Derksen, but on the other hand, he does with Van der Gijp.
According to Van Rossem, Derksen lowers himself to Van der Gijp’s dressing room humor. “The guiding spirit of this company, René van der Gijp, is such a man who has never lived to be older than 17. He likes that type of jokes and also the eternal stupid bullshit about football,” said the historian in Maarten van Rossem – The Podcast“It’s infantile,” he continues. “They are men who have never grown older than giving the car a good gas, a big mouth, laughing about sex and shit. It is, in fact, essentially an infantile world. That is Van der Gijp. That’s a big kid.”
Van Rossem also spoke negatively about Van der Grijp in October and announced at the time that he would boycott the program as long as the analyst is sitting at the table. “I will certainly not sit in a show with Gijp, an annoying self-righteous man, who constantly laughs at his own weak jokes. I find that intolerable,” said Van Rossem. The quarrel between Maarten and René arose in 2012, when they were together in At the time, Van Rossem was a guest at VI for the second time. “The second time was relatively disastrous because Gijp was there. He was not present the first time, I understood because he had bouts of depression. ”
The second time, Van der Gijp was present. “It was clear that jibe had intended to find me a jerk and he made that very clear. In short, that was not a pleasant evening.
