Justin Kluivert is sympathetic to a longer stay at RB Leipzig. The attacker has been rented out by AS Roma to the Bundesliga club, which has no option to buy. Not only football but also life in Leipzig was better than Kluivert. “The city is quite big and busy. I’d rather have that than a quiet city. Leipzig has its own charm. Everyone here comes from the region, ”says Kluivert in conversation with it on Wednesday Algemeen Dagblad.

“This city cannot therefore be compared to Amsterdam or Rome, where many tourists come.” Kluivert does not regret his transfer from Ajax to AS Roma, nor his, for the time being, temporary transfer to Germany. In total he played twenty games for Julian Nagelsmann’s team, which is different from other trainers. “At Leipzig you don’t know at the beginning of the week who will play on Saturday. We have twenty top players and we all do it together. ”

At Ajax often little changed in the line-up, Kluivert recalls. However, RB Leipzig often plays in different formations. “It’s not here: he’s better, so he’s playing. The ones who play are the ones the trainer thinks he needs in that match. That means that sometimes half of the team is replaced. ” Kluivert calls Nagelsmann a ‘talented’ trainer. “His discussions are very detailed. He works out the plan down to the last detail. As soon as the race starts, we know very well what to do ourselves and where our teammates are running. ”

It is unclear whether Leipzig will have one or two Dutch people at its disposal next season. Kluivert knows that RB Leipzig has no option to buy. “But we know how it works when the transfer market opens. How? It’s not that I know anything, but we all know that this market is there for a reason. I feel good here. Whether I want to stay? Yes.”

“Of course I talked about Leipzig with Brian Brobbey, around the time he decided to exchange Ajax for this club”, the attacker concludes. “I think it would be nice to guide him and show him how everything works here. I think it will be of great use to him if he is not the only Dutchman here in the future. We’ll see if it comes. ”
