An ultra group from Napoli has invited the hard core of Feyenoord to travel to Italy this week. That according to Il Mattino everything to do with the Europa League match between the Stadionclub and AS Roma, which will be played at the Stadio Olimpico on Thursday evening. Napoli will already be in action in the Champions League on Tuesday and the Feyenoord players can also be present.

No fans of Feyenoord are allowed to be present at the match in Rome, but some supporters of the Stadium Club do not care. The supporters association of Feyenoord expects that ‘perhaps a thousand’ Rotterdammers will go to the Italian capital and that may also be members of the hard core. In Italian media, including Il Mattino and la Gazzetta dello Sportit can be read that the hard core of Napoli would like Feyenoord’s colleagues to come to Italy.

They will then support Napoli during the return in the quarterfinals of the Champions League against AC Milan, in which a 1-0 deficit must be made up, but could also travel on to Rome afterwards. There, together with the ultras of Napoli, unrest can be caused and that in turn causes nerves for the local authorities. The fans of i Partenopei after all, they also do not have a good relationship with the tifosi of Roma.

Feyenoord will defend a 1-0 lead in the Italian capital next Thursday. Should the formation of trainer Arne Slot at the expense of i Giallorossi advance to the semi-finals of the Europa League, then a meeting with Bayer Leverkusen or Union Sint-Gillis awaits. The first game between those two teams ended in a 1-1 draw in Germany. Manchester United and Juventus could meet in the other semi-final, although those teams have to deal with Sevilla and Sporting Portugal respectively.
