Suriname has not been able to convert the second game in the Nations League into a win. On a visit to Jamaica, the team of national coach Stanley Menzo lost 3-1. Yanic Wildschut took care of the equalizer halfway through the first half, but then saw the home team pull the longest. Last Sunday, both countries already met in the country tournament. Then it ended in a 1-1 draw. Next Sunday, the international match will end with the away game against Mexico.

Jamaica dominated in the early stages and took the lead after fifteen minutes when Diego Biseswar fouled Richard King and Ravel Morrison suddenly shot the ensuing free kick into the top left corner. Menzo’s team tied the score not much later. On a pass from Ridgeciano Haps, Wildschut was sent off on the left. The attacker of CSKA Sofia made an effective effort with a shot into the far corner: 1-1.

On the stroke of half-time, Jamaica took the lead for the second time. After an individual action, Junior Flemmings was given way too much time and space to lash out to Warner Hahn’s frustration. The attacker’s shot was too powerful for the goalie in the short corner: 2-1. Biseswar then got the opportunity to tie both teams again, but shot over in a promising position. Twenty minutes before the end, the game was brought to a close. After Myenty Abena’s clumsy loss of the ball, Damion Lowe was able to finish: 3-1.

Suriname setup: hahn; Haps, Leerdam, Abena, Donk, Pinas; Malone, Wildschut, Josephson; Kappel, Biseswar
