Joël Piroe seems to be facing an important choice for PSV. The only 21-year-old attacker does not want to just leave the Eindhoven club behind, but on the other hand, the interest of other clubs is growing. It Eindhovens Dagblad knows to report on Wednesday that Piroe has already been informed about its availability for this summer. The current commitment of the young attacker with PSV will continue for more than a year.

“I am happy at PSV”, Piroe emphasizes in an interview with the aforementioned regional newspaper. Nevertheless, the attacker has to settle for a supporting role in Eindhoven for the time being. Trainer Roger Schmidt has a lot of faith in Donyell Malen and Eran Zahavi. “At the beginning of the season I knew roughly what to expect,” added the reserve striker. Piroe is sticking to his role as star player in the Europa League game with Omonia Nicosia (4-0) in the Europa League last December. In the final phase he then signed for two goals.

In addition, Piroe made his very first Eredivisie goal in December, with which he saved a point for PSV in the difficult away match against sc Heerenveen. “Only then you really notice how incredibly many people sympathize with PSV and also with me as a person”, Piroe looks back on the personal successes of a few months ago. Afterwards, the young PSV player hardly came to work in the main force of PSV. A return to Young PSV followed, although Piroe continues to hope for a new chance from Schmidt.

“Others at PSV are making good steps, but I certainly do not want to compromise myself. I have qualities and in the end the trainer makes a choice for his selection. Playing with the promises is better than nothing for me, because I have to be fit to continue to develop and to be able to take advantage of my opportunities “, concludes the combative Piroe. The attacker scored another goal on Monday evening during the big victory of PSV’s reserves team against Jong FC Utrecht (1-6).
