Stefan Savic and Jack Grealish clashed in the players tunnel on Wednesday evening. After a blistering final phase full of collisions in the Champions League match between Atlético Madrid and Manchester City (0-0), the disturbances continued in the players tunnel of the Wanda Metropolitano. The confrontation between Grealish and Savic would be taken so seriously that the Spanish police had to sprint to the players tunnel to calm the mood.
Towards the end of regular time, the on-field duels became fiercer after Felipe tackled Phil Foden. There was a disturbance on the field and Savic, among others, got into a fight with Grealish. The latter was pulled by his hair. After a fierce battle in the final quarter-final of the Champions League, the confrontations in the players tunnel continued. Grealish and Savic are said to have even headbutted each other, while Sime Vrsaljko spat on several City players. Spanish police rushed in to intervene.
