Gonzalo Higuaín may definitely call himself a player of the Inter Miami of owner David Beckham. The Major League Soccer club announces the arrival of the Argentine through official channels on Friday afternoon. The move of Higuaín has been in the air for some time now and Juventus already announced on Thursday that his ongoing contract had been dissolved. The 32-year-old striker has reportedly committed to his new club until December 2022.

Juventus was busy this summer with finding a new destination for Higuaín, which with its annual salary of allegedly 7.5 million euros was heavy on the budget. The attacker could not count on a base place last season and was therefore allowed to leave. The superpower from Turin is busy with the arrival of AS Roma-routine Edin Dzeko as his replacement.

For Higuaín, after thirteen years of transition, his adventure on the European fields comes to an end. Real Madrid took him over from River Plate in 2007 and the Argentinean then played for Napoli, Juventus, AC Milan and Chelsea. On behalf of the Royal he scored 121 goals in 264 games, while at Juventus he produced 66 hits in 149 games. Higuaín can call himself three times champion of Spain and three times champion of Italy.

“First of all, I’d like to thank Inter Miami for trying to attract me. I think this is going to be a wonderful experience. This is what I was looking for, a new experience, a new competition, and a beautiful city. I’m really happy that it’s official,” he responds to his transition himself. “It’s my goal to transfer all the experience I’ve had in Europe and to help the team grow.” Higuaín will be playing in Miami with former teammate Juventus Blaise Matuidi, who made the transition earlier this summer.
