Lazio and Galatasaray drew goalless in the Europa League on Thursday evening in an unexciting match. Galatasaray, with Ryan Babel and Patrick van Aanholt in the base, knew that a draw was enough to secure the group win. The visitors dominated possession in the opening phase and also had things in order from a defensive point of view. Only a victory counted for Lazio, but the home side proved unable to create a serious opportunity in the first half for a long time. Ciro Immobile, who scored three times during the previous five Europa League matches, was also completely invisible.
